Ring sizes
The German ring size equals the inner circumference of the ring in millimetres. The Fanø Ring comes in even sizes 50 to 68 – other sizes on request. The ring is about 1 cm wide; if you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
1 · At a jeweller
The safest way: have your finger measured at a jeweller.
2 · Measure yourself
- Wrap a strip of paper or a string around your finger and measure the length in millimetres – that is your ring size.
- Don’t forget the knuckle – it is usually a little wider.
- Measure on the hand you want to wear the ring on.
- Fingers are often slightly thicker in the evening and when it is warm.
3 · Your partner’s size
- Just ask – if it doesn’t need to be a surprise.
- Borrow a ring that fits, measure the inner diameter in millimetres and multiply by 3.14. The result is the inner circumference and therefore the ring size.
- Or have a jeweller determine the size of the borrowed ring.
